I installed 2011 pro, every time I access a folder with videos in it or I am just playing wmp (music) cineplayer keeps trying to install. It already is installed though, It want to look for installer in
c:/doc settings/local settings/wzcft.tmp/cineplayer_5.61/ that path does not exist so I point it to the disc containing the CP msi and it gives me an error that it doesn't match the path. I tried to install from disc but
it says another version is already installed. went to add remove programs to uninstall easy media creator 7.5 but there is no opotion to uninstall. what to do to stop cineplayer from doing this? and fix problem?

right, 7.5 shows up in add remove prog, but there is no options to remove/change . I figured when I inst 2011 pro it just updated it. If I could find disc for 7.5 yes I would uninstall 7.5 . I don't need cineplayer and really never have used it. I use Divx player or wmp to play dvd's and Adobe to create any dvd"s from files like slide shows or video editing.

so should I just do the delete all reg entries for roxio, delete folders in program files and reinstall 2011pro?
or can I just delete 7.5 entries and only those folders? the installer says I need to uninstall the old version of cp. but as i said its not in add remove. but it is in programs in fact all of 7.5 can still be used.

C2011 is not an update to EMC 7/7.5 and installing C2011 has no effect on EMC 7/7.5.
Google for RevoUninstaller, download it (free version) and then try to uninstall EMC 7/7.5 using the Moderate mode.
Why do you have any Roxio programs installed if you don't use or need them?

i use it to burn my cds and iso or to make copy of disc to disc . and also find it faster to down size or convert something for phone or ipad ( smaller vids)

Follow these instructions 'Preparing your computer for installing Roxio products'

Place the Creator 2011 Pro Disc in a DVD drive and run the install, when repair is offered run it then reboot the PC when finished.

tried that way back, I just uninstalled all roxio, cleaned reg, and reinstalled and it seems to be fixed now.
