I try to include narations to my Creator 2012 Video. All I get is a fracmented recording. I even changed to a new microphone, it did not help. Please explain in plain language

Did you try following this narration tutorial (link)? (The tutorial is for an earlier version but I do not think the process has changed.)
If you still can't get it, it may be a mechanical problem, if so one of the guys will be by soon to help.

Are you using a notebook with a built in microphone. If so, you'll have to disable it.
What operating system are you using? Have you set the default audio recording device tro your microphone?
