Transfering vhs to pc works fine and I can hear what is being recorded, however when using sound editor to transfer an LP to the pc I have no playback sound. Is there a way to hear what is being recorded.
The track is recorded and I can play it back when done just cant hear while it is recording.

"Record what you hear" is a function of the sound card and its drivers. Depending on what O/S you have, go into your Sound and Audio Devices and look in the Recording and see if you have "what you hear" or Stereo Mix/Wave Out Mix or a similar option selected

I tried opening this up. But I don't find the USB option. I see Sterio Mix, Microphone and SPeakers.
I am able to get the video from the VHS but not the audio. It seems that the audio is coming from the microphone. I could say something during the video and it would record that.
Obviously there is some set up that is not covered in the instructions. ANy help. is appreciated.
The Picture shown was from Capture Video, a program in the Creator Suites and Specia Edition Suites... Great one to use for troubleshooting, if you have one of those Suites
If you are getting Video OK, we can assume the drivers are installed correctly and it is a Windows issue...
With the Roxio Vidoe Capture USB - Right Click your Speaker and choose Recording devices to make sure it is set to use the Roxio Device.
I am able to capture audio from mixer uxing A to B USB cable but there is no sound coming from speakers when recording
Works ok with media player, that is to say I have sound from speakers while recording from "soundcard".
My os is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and the *sound "chip" is on motherboard, not soundcard.
