Do you see the CD data from the database when you rip the CD to your hard drive? That should work without having to set anything in the registry.

I tried to rip several different CDs.  The only one that was recognized was the Michael Buble Crazy Love. All were commercial CDs. Same thing when I tried to use "Edit Song Information". All came up with no information found, would I like to submit information for this disc?
Maybe it is just Vista. I have hated this one since the beginning.

Sometimes if you type in , for example the Album name or the Artist, the database works better.  You can do that and apply it ot the group of music files.

It might also be the Rovi database that C2012 uses. I know it is much more limited then the Gracenote database the previous Roxio versions used.

It is probably the Rovi database and my computer.  Thank you all for trying. I like the way the rest of Creator 2012 works.  Just wish the Label Creator was as good in this version as in the old Creator 6. May when I upgrade to Windows 7 things will get better.

I have Roxio Creator 2009, Vista 64 and Label Creator had this problem when I installed it.  Endless pursuit of help from Roxio, to no avail.  Let's see, you are using Creator 2012 and while this problem was reported by me to Roxio three years ago, they have not fixed it and are still selling software that doesn't work right.
Music I.D and CD info work just fine in all other parts of Roxio, except in Label Creator.
Roxio should fix issue, you shouldn't have to tinker with the registry yourself.
I had Creator 8 running on Windows XP prior to, and Label Creator and all options to get CD info worked fine.

But it may not be the SAME problem, only the similar SYMPTOMS ;)

If you read the responses, you can see that most of us don't have that difficulty...

Your response isn't helpful at all.  The post was about people having the problem looking for solutions, NOT about people not having the problem.  And in this thread, most are having problems to one degree or another on Windows Vista and Windows 7.
If you don't have a solution or any help to offer, why post and attempt to negate the complaints of those who do.  I see very little constructive comments from you.
