Hi, it's boscobuddy again. Hawkeye was the last to reply to my original Missing Certificate File topic, and when I went to reply to him, I found the topic to be locked. So I'm putting my reply in a new topic with the same name. I don't know who the Lynn that Hawkeye referred to, but here's my reply. I was very upset with the way that Easy Media Creator 7 was messing up my ability to drag and drop files on my computer. I went and purchased EMC 7.5 & 8 off of Ebay, in hopes that one of them would overwrite the EMC 7 or at least supply the missing certificate file. No such luck. They either wouldn t overwrite or wouldn't install.
Last week, I went to the support link of the Roxio web page, and their automated answer person whose name I think is Roxann, sent me a link to click on which took me to a page where I was able to download the Microsoft Clean Up Utility, and damned if that didn't solve my problem. This same solution had been suggested to me previously by other forum members, but for some reason, which I tend to think is because I was looking for it under the wrong name, I couldn't solve my problem. I'm now pleased to report, that ALL traces of ALL EMC programs are completly gone from my computer. And you can be sure of one thing, Roxio EMC will never get on my computer again. Guess who's a happy camper now? I just want to say thanks to all the forum members that tried to help.
