I formatted these PC because Winamp 5.62 had installed this piece of junk in my Windows XP,ever I'm putting a CD/DVD on any of my 2 CD/DVD drives(and sometimes from nowhere) a BSOD is coming and causes a crash followed by a restart and after this these message is coming from the Windows Error Reporting ...

After the last disk format here I uncheck the box who installs PX Engine from the Winamp but an other program installs these junk here on the Winamp's place(I suspect who Nero 8 or Quicktime had installs these junk instead of Winamp),I removed and unregistered these files...
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\PxHelp20.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\px.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pxcpya64.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pxcpyi64.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pxdrv.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pxhpinst.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pxinsa64.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pxinsi64.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pxmas.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pxsfs.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pxwave.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pxwma.dll

But after a close 2 weeks out from here when I'm back I got these link from my browser...

Windows and Your Computer uses the Roxio software for the CD/DVD burning.  If you remove it Windows/Your computer will not function properly when you try to burn somehtign to a CD/DVD.   Here is a good discussion on it for Sony computers.

MS references the PX engine because Roxio would always have the latest version just like Roxio referencing Microsoft  for updates for things like DirectX and MSXML.

You have a sick puppy when it comes to Windows.  You may need to reformat your hard drive and reinstall all your software.

He has already been all over the winamp forums since December of last year.

They told him basically the same thing.

Some people should not own computers and also be rude.

For best results - format c:/  and  reinstall Windows or if you have a computer that has a factory restore disc, use that.

Nothing else to say.

Why did you have to reformat your computer in the first place?   You never told us that.

Since you have several programs on your cooputer that could be the source of the px engine error, have you gone to any of them and asked.  You seem to indicate that you do NOT have any Roxio program.  One of the others installed that PX engine.

Do you know anyhtng about editing your computer registry? Back up before you do.  You should be able to find that .dll there.  You will screw up your computer completely.

PX engine is NOT a program. that you can simply remove.   The problems you are finding are not part of the PX Engine.  it is somethign else that is showing itself with the issues you are having.

Your best bet is to use live chat to talk to Roxio techinical support or to send them a e-mail  for ehlp.  We can't help you here. For support go here.
