Question

HELP MEEE!

I bought my roxio game capture card recently, and have had several issues.

It flickers frequently and severely, also when edited and exported in the default editing program which comes with the capture card- the quality degrades significantly. Another problem I have had is that the audio from recordings is a little bit quiet, and is severely distorted- It is reasonable occasionally, however it slows down dramatically, and it jumps as well. I would appreciate any guidance and solutions that are provided.

Here are my pc specs-

Windows vista home premium, service pack 2

processor: AMD phenom II X4 920 processor 2.80 GHz

RAM: 4.00GB

64 bit os

Again, thanks.

Roxio Game Capture files are choppy or audio is faster than the video

Knowledgebase Article : 000004GC | Print this Article

Issue

After exporting your Game Capture video, the video playback is choppy or your audio plays too fast and is out of sync.

Resolution

This issue may occurs due to limited CPU or Memory resources during recording. Possible resolutions are:

1. If you are using a laptop to capture, make sure the power adapter of the laptop is plugged in.

2. Make sure your laptop/PC for capture is meeting minimum system requirements.

3. If your laptop is Dell/Alienware, make sure you check Dell.com and find the latest BIOS for the specific mode for an update.

4. If your PC/laptop for capture is AMD processor based, make sure you turn off the “Cool ‘N’ Quiet” setting in the BIOS.
