After reading about the ineffectiveness of this app, I'd like to disable it from auto running at startup, and better yet, uninstalling it from EMC8 completely. How do I go about this?

If EMC 8 is allready installed, you can only disable D2D by going into Start->Run.  Type in MSConfig, select the startup tab.  Once this is up, choose to disable Drag-to-Disc (Should be listed as DrgtoDsc).

If EMC 8 is not installed yet, and you wish to install it without D2D, simply select "Custom Install" from the install menu (its the bottom one), and de-select Drag-to-Disc.

Good luck, and i'd like to thank you for doing research, and learning about D2D before losing data and complaining about it. :)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, it's already installed, so disabling for now is just as good. I haven't gotten to that app yet (will be trying them all out the next few months), since I've been fixed on audio for the time being.

Thanks for the comment, but oddly enough I was thinking someone was gonna take a potshot at me for NOT trying it before posting. LOL! Go figure.

You can also go into ADD/REMOVE and do a change. Just uncheck drag to disc and it will uninstall that portion.
