When I choose to add clipart the path is invalid. Is there an ini or cfg file or registry fix that I can change to correct the path? It annoys me to have to click several times for each file and I really don't want to move the clipart contents folder out of the Photosuite location and have files for the application scatter about the computer. I'd rather keep all the app files in one location.
Thanks. (reinstalling did not make a difference, it still wants to look in c:\BinD....and the files did not install there. they installed in the Photosuite section of EMC)

I looked around in the regestry and may have found what you need. I don't know how to make (and wouldn't want to incase it's wrong) an automatic thing so I'll just lay out the steps to fix it (if this is the problem).
First of all I'm going to warn you NOT to change ANYTHING in the regestry (Unless your following my, or someone else's instructions). Making a backup would be a good idea just in case.
Second I'm going to warn you that I'm not very experenced with editing the regestry so use my instructions at your own risk. Maybe someone else can confirm that these are ok to use or provide better alternative.
DBLocation = C:\Program Files\Roxio\Easy Media Creator 8\PhotoSuite\Content\
DBName = Content.psod
Let us know how it goes.

- Click the Start Button
- Go to "Run"
- type "regedit" (without the quotes)
- navigate to this location:
- You should see 4 things in there (Keys I think they're called). Make sure they have these values:
DBLocation = C:\Program Files\Roxio\Easy Media Creator 8\PhotoSuite\Content\
DBName = Content.psod
- If your regestry values are the same as these then don't change them. Just close the editor.
- If they are different, make a backup of your registry and then change them to match what I put.
Let us know how it goes.

I just tried, and got the same problem: photosuite is looking for the file at C:\BinD\Clipart\...
There is nothing in the registry searching for C:\BinD
There does not seem to be an option to set file locations either.

I got add clipart to work by a complete uninstall/reinstall of EMC8.
That took some doing:
Some time ago I had used Windows installer cleanup utility (to remove an entry related to Windowws Defender). That caused add/remove for Roxio to fail (could not find the msi file) (I knew that using Windows installer cleanup messed up Add/remove for MS Office, but apparently it does so for a lot of other software).
So I had to resort to manual removal, including registry, took about 2 hours.
Then I found EMC8 would not install properly (although the install gave no error messages, apps did not function, cineplayer was not installed, ...). Eventually traced this to the fact that Zone Alarm free 6.5.731 was preventing some registry key changes (e.g. Roxmedia manager service was not installed and many other things). However add/remove now functioned, so I uninstalled EMC8 and ZA, also uninstalled Installshield update manager, cleaned everything up. Another two hours.
Finally EMC 8 installed, updated, everything working, including the add clipart in Photosuite. Also add/remove now does open the installer again.
Reinstalled ZA.
Back to normal.

It's a long time since this post, but I had the same problem with "roxio creator 2009 ultimate" today. I think I found a easier solution. Rename the file "content.psod" to "content.psod.MDB". Yes... it's an ms-access file... So, open it with ms-access, open the table "AlbumItems", select the column "ItemDataMoniker" and replace all "binD" to "Program Files\Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate\PhotoSuite 11" (this is the default location). Close ms-access, rename the file to content.psod, open photosuite and enjoy.

Good find there.
The replacement path for EMC 8 should probably be Program Files\Roxio\Easy Media Creator 8\PhotoSuite, though
Regards,
Brendon
