I am attaching my computer information for anyone that can decipher what might be the cause of this proxy manager issue. it appears it has happened to others, so I am hoping Roxio has figured this out, though I just loaded this software, so out of the box it is bad.Attached File  DxDiag.txt   32.79K   37 downloads

Hi Frank ~ I have no idea what would cause that...

Do you actually have the 201B Version of the software?

That is the Forum you posted in but I seem to recall that error associated with a much earlier version of Roxio

Before trying anything, I want to make sure your software is Win7 Compatible! It would be listed on the Box ;)

Also if you examine the Disc, it will tell us the Version:

Disc 1 1 124.jpg

Disc 1 2 198.jpg

Disc 201B.jpg

Disc 301B.jpg

Do the Prep Steps to the letter!

Then start to install of the Suite, only pick Repair when it is offered.

I followed the instruction that came in the box with the Roxio EASY VHS to DVD3 PLUS DVD, this is straight from the factory book:

step 1: Insert the installation disk,
step 2: Run setup.exe

Not to be a wiseguy, but honestly, I bought the EASY version thinking, no problem, I can handle this....Sorry, but there were no "prep" instructions, so where are they located, in another area of this site?

Ps. Ogden, did you see my software version attached in the previous message I sent?

Attach the picture directly to your post instead of using 3rd party software which most may not have.

I forgot to add, this is a new computer, on full automatic update, went through a list of all hard/software, and it is all up-to-date, if this matters.

I did a screen shot and put it in MS Powerpoint, could note find ICON to add a picture to a message, and a copy and paste was not allowed.

How did you attach the ppt file?

Click on "Click to Attach File", then navigate and select the image file (preferably in jpg format) and then select "add to post"

What you really need to do is stop posting explainations and actually do what ogdens suggested in post #5...
