Hi, I just got Video Lab today, and whenever I put a video into the editor, it inverts the colors and I cant change it to look right. How would I fix this? The video was recorded in Fraps, playing Minecraft just so you know.
Edit: This is using the VideoWave editor too.

Thanks!

That is a bit odd!

You did not list your PC specs but would suspect your Video Card drivers/software need updated...

Also can you capture something else with FRAPS as a test?

Yeah, I can capture something else to do a test. I'm not exactly sure of the specs. All I know of, is that its a dual core with 1TB of memory, 4GB of ram, and that it has a NVIDIA graphics card. I'm not sure which model it is. I could try out on a different computer, to see if it would work on them. I just checked my drivers, and they weren't up to date, so I'm updating them.

EDIT: I updated my drivers, and now when I put in the video file it looks normal at first, but when you do anything to edit the clip it changes the colors again. The current graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a, and the drivers are now up to date. I tried filming another program with fraps, and it did the same thing.

Thanks!

I use Fraps on occasion and have never had anything like you are seeing

2 more things to try...

Another Source file or capture (both would be better ;) )

Turn OFF your Anti Virus, and start to install Video Lab HD, only choose Repair when it is offered.

You can turn on your AV when you reboot, just want to make sure it does not interfere with Roxio.

okay, so I tried both of those, and neither worked. I just remembered that when I first installed it, it gave me an error saying my screen resolution was too small for something. My current resolution is 1024 by 768, and my Windows is a 64 bit OS. Is that a problem? I also get this issue of the inverted colors while watching YouTube on fullscreen.

Really sounding more and more like a Graphics issue...

If it is a desktop, you might consider getting a cheap graphics card, around $30, and seeing if it makes any difference.

What do you do with the output from Video Lab? Just wondering if you burn a disc, how does it look when played on a TV?

Yeah, its a desktop. I haven't really done any output stuff yet. I'll see what happens with the TV. I have also been thinking about setting up the software on another computer and using a homegroup to send the video files over to that computer instead of the one I use to film. I use an old monitor from around '03 or '04.

If you have a problem watching youTube then you have graphics problems which have nothing to do with Roxio.

Yes, could even be the monitor itself

Might be something else to try before doing anything too drastic...
