Hi folks,
I've been using BackupMyPC successfully for several years. Recently I've seen it hang during the "set-archive-bit" phase, presumably after writing a valid backup set. I've done some experiments... nothing conclusive yet, but I have a very slight suspicion that this is somehow related to the anti-SpyWare program I'm running, which happens to be SpySweeper from WebRoot.com. Does anybody know about this?
When the backup hangs, I actually have to do a cold reboot (typically by power cycling!). There's no Cancel button available, and I haven't been able to kill the program using the task manager.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
--George

I haven't heard anything about it. Did you try disabling the spy sweeper while doing the backup though?

Its possible that theres a file on your computer thats causing it...
What happens if you try to backup, say, a text file that is located on your desktop?
