I am running an HP ( new system ) quad core, dv6 Entertainment system Notebook, 300gig disk space still ava. Hidef graphics card, 4 gb ram, on and on, running dvd to dvd there are no issues, bunning vhs to dvd in viewing it runs smoothly both vidio and sound, but when I click on record button first it goes to not-responding, the starts recording, I then hit the play button and the video now comes in choppy. I defraged my system, stopped all extra mem. running programs. still choppy video while recording.
Here is what really sets me off, is that Roxio is or has not replyed to any support, or have they fixed the problem.
I have followed everyones gudelines, and still choppy video while recording.

It is a bit hard to follow what you are doing but I assume you are trying to capture to your hard drive instead of directly to DVD>. So it is the captured video that is choppy or is it choppy while recording in the preview screen?
