Hi,
I have a Panasonic DVD recorder which is great ... unless I want to drag vids off it onto the mac ... it's DVD-Ram and I have a fairly old mac. I can disconnect the DVD recorder, send the signal through my Formac box, rerecord it in iMovie ...!
Our Aldi is stocking a Medion DVD read/write box at 40 quid that also does DVD-RAM. Has anyone got any experience with medion dvd boxes ... I know the hard drives are generally ok, but drivers for DVDs seem hit and miss!
If it makes a difference I also have DiscBlaze, iDVD, iMovie and Popcorn!
External DVD: Medion any good?

Well unfortunately since I work for Roxio I cant recommend a specific brand. What I can tell you is that there are some great resources out on the web that have feature comparisons and reviews. Plus, since no one else replied I wanted to let you know we were listening.
