it does not display properly -- the actual title flashes briefly, a blank followng for the rest of the title duration. When the title overlaps a clip, even a small amount, the result is OK.
Help!

I don't understand what you did. Sorry. What are you talking about when you say a title overlapping a clip? Are you talking about the title being an overlay over the clip?
Does that clip play in Windows Media Player?

1. In the timeline, put a video-clip on Track 1.
2. Created a title-clip in Premiere Pro 1.5 “titler.”
3. In the time-line, put title-clip on Track 1, “in front of,” (i.e., “preceding”) the video-clip. Or put title-clip in a track, say "track-2" above the video-clip.
4. Create an avi file of the above.
5. Using Easy Media 7.5, burn to iso…DVD
6. No matter how long the “title-clip” is, the word or words in it just flash briefly….
Other issues.
1. If the title-clip “overlaps” the video-clip, everything works fine.
2. If the title clip is the only clip in the timeline, it works OK.
All of this is not computer dependent, i.e., occurs no matter which of three separate computers I use, although it is the same Easy Media Creator software on each .
Would appreciate any help.

Does the .avi file play properly in other programs?
What program (in EMC) are you using to burn the DVD movie?
Are there menus? Are there supposed to be menus?
Reading your description of the problem, it sounds like it's a problem with Adobe Premiere, or maybe the codec you're using when you export it. Especially since you say that

Once you export an .avi file, there is only one track... (no overlapping). So there would be no way for the EMC software to even know that there were two video tracks used.
Also, just because It doesn't work on all three of your computers doesn't automatically mean that it's not a hardware problem. For instance, if all of your computers are old or don't have the most recent drivers/firmware for their hardware then it very well could be a hardware problem.
Until you provide more information though, I'm pretty convinced that it’s a problem with Adobe Premiere. Try using a different codec (or none at all (huge file size)).

Like LiqVid, I have the same question: Does the avi file created in Step 4 play by itself correctly? If no then your problem is in Adobe.
I also still don't quite understand what you are trying to do. What do you mean by Title clip?
