I just downloaded the 3.1 trial version to try out together with my MCE desktop and IPOD. However, whenever i try to convert something it crashes right away in mtgserver.exe. This happens only with IPOD conversions, and not pocketPC for example.
XP console says:
"Faulting application mtgserver.exe, version 3.1.0.0, faulting module mtgserver.exe, version 3.1.0.0, fault address 0x0002cba1."
Anyone got any idea what the problem is? The log file says something about "cannot load filter"?

This sounds like the same issue in this post http://forums.suppor...?showtopic=7587.
Here's what's going on ... there's a MyTV ToGo serial number floating around on the internet which causes this crash. The serial number appears to unlock MyTV ToGo but the serial number is actually for a version of MyTV ToGo that was never released (i.e. this is an invalid serial number). To fix this issue simply enter a valid serial number.

That is not possible, i am running the TRIAL version of version 3.1, which limits the conversion to 5 minutes, and it gives me this crash. It only happens for IPOD conversions, but not for conversions to for example pocketPC??

It is possible to reproduce this crash with the trial version. The description you give is exactly what would occur when using the trial version of MyTV ToGo with an invalid serial number (iPod and PSP conversions would fail and Pocket PC conversions would succeed). The same crash occured for me when I used the MyTV ToGo serial number that I found on the internet.
One thing you might check is this registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Roxio\MyTV ToGo\CurrentVersion\SN. Make sure this key doesn't exist for the trial version. If it does then delete the key. It might solve the issue you're seeing.
