Hi All,
My first conversion LP > CD using Roxio8 - After recording > chose clean > chose burn to CD > burn completed.
1. What happened to the .wav from the recording? Note during recording, Roxio said recorded to c:\doc...\audio.wav - Using windows search I could not find a .wav file for the date of the recording. Nor when the burn completed & I chose finished - I did not get the option to save.
2. Before recording LP - "Imput" I used the option "What You Hear" should I've used "Line In" - Note I'm plugged into "Line In" on my SB Audigy II soundcard?
3. At the edit stage checking "Clean" I'll presume its automatically done? Note the manual (page 242) says
select the portion you...
clip editor click Clean Up Audio
The only thing I saw/did was to place a check mark (ticked) "Clean" then next - From page 242 are all
the items listed for clean automatically applied by ticking clean?
Thanks
rico

When you did the search, did you have,
a: in folder options, view tab, show hidden files and folders checked?
b: in search, more advanced options, the first three boxes checked?
Reason is that I think the file may be be saved in a folder in
C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Local Settings\Temp\
and the local settings folder is a hidden folder.
If you use LP and Tape assistant, advanced options, you can set the folder in which the file is saved.
If you use sound editor, it is Tools options.

As far as your SB goes I don't think it matters which input you choose as long as it works.I would think it might be better to use the line in if you're recording from an external source (LP,Tape) and use the What You Hear if you're recording something like Internet radio.
