I have installed EZCD CReator 7.5 on my laptop and updated it. Everytime I start up my system I get a message to the effect that I must wait whilst EZCD Creator installs ...

I also get that message if I drag files out/into of any foldere that have the letters CD (in caps) anywhere in the folder name.

P***es me off bigtime. :)

And does your laptop far exceed the minimum specifications for the software? If not, you will have problems.

Put the CD back in when it tells you, and see if it cures the problem. You may have gotten a bad install.

My latop has 2 gigs of RAM and all the rest. The install keeps trying to install Napster - which I chose not to install from the get-go. I'll try the CD thing.

EMC 7 was the last Version put out by the company then called Roxio, which had already purchased the name and rights to Napster. They subsequently sold the software and name Roxio to another company called Sonic (who still owns it), and changed their name to Napster.

Go ahead and load Napster, and go online to update (as it requests). Then do a modification to uninstall it. The program will be happy.

No need to go through all that . . . Just copy the install disk folders to your desktop and send Napster to the recycle bin before you install. It works like a charm and gave me a Napster-free installation!!

That would work but he's already got it installed. It might be as easy to follow Lynn's suggestion and complete the Napster install and uninstall.

Faced with a choice of 1) trying to fix a funky install or 2) starting from scratch, I personally would go for option 2. Only reason not to would be if data were at risk in the process.
