Encrypting and spanning Can you encrypt while you span multiple DVDs?

My boss has Toast 7.0.2 and says it won't encrpyt backup data while spanning multiple DVDs. He is using v7.0.2. Is it possible with this version? Or does v.7.1 have this ability? Or is he correct that it just won't do both?

Of course, he could just buy me a copy of Toast to play with :)

Your boss is correct. The encryption and compression options work with data that is burned to a single disc and not with disc spanning.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

No, but you might check if Retrospect does this. Otherwise you could create encrypted disc images using Disk Utility and burn those as data files with Toast. Stuffit Deluxe also has the ability to create encrypted archives that can be burned with Toast as data files.
