I've used EMC 7 for about a year with little problem. My hard drive was becoming noisy and decided to replace the drive. I used the included software with the hard drive to clone the old HD with EMC 7 on it (it was the main boot disc). Most everything worked afterwards with the exception of EMC 7. Figured I would uninstall the program through control panel and reinstall. Couldn't uninstall, got errors about a missing file, etc. Used Windows Install Cleanup to remove Roxio. So far so good. Inserted my EMC 7 CD and it spun, but nothing happened. I have autorun set to work on my computer. Looked at the disc and noted AutoSupp.exe, tried to run it and nothing happens. Ideas?

Open Windows Explorer (with your EMC 7 in the drive) and cursor down to that drive and check out all the files on the CD and see if there isn't an "executable" file there somewhere. If you find that one try opening it up and see what happens. BTW, when you check your hardware devices, does the system recognize the optical drive you are trying to install from ??

I still, have my original EMC 7 disc and I just stuck it in my drive and in the main folder when you open it in Windows Explorer that's where you will see the " EXE" file to start the installation. It's named "Setup.exe"

Only executable file on the CD is AutoSupp.exe. Oops... looks like I am trying to load the CD entitled Content. Must be another one around somewhere.

You're exactly right. That particular file is on the Content CD. Check the main EMC 7 program disc and you should see that exe file I was talking about. BTW, when you install the main program make sure you click on the option to do a "COMPLETE" installation rather than a "Custom" one. Then somewhere near the end of the main program installation it will ask you to place the Content CD in the drive. Just remove the main disc and put that one in and go from there. Let me know how you make out. If there happens to be one of the programs it installs that you don't want by doing the "Complete" installation, then you should be able to delete it later in Add/Remove Programs in the control panel.
