I have several long TiVO programs that exceed the capacity of one DVD.  I need to split the program file into two or more segments and save to separate DVDs.

How is this done in EMC8?  I have found how to split the video file into segments that can be seen in the StoryBook mode.  Is there some way to select a certain number of segments and burn them separately to one DVD, then select the rest to burn to another DVD?

Would anyone who has done this please share with me their method.

All help is appreciated.

Check out this thread, click here.  You can delete the area beyond the split, it will not affect the original video. Then you can add video to a different project and split at the same place and delete the area before the split. Now you have two separate projects. You should be doing this work in videowave, using timline view and saving each project and giving them names like Movie 1 and Movie 2 so you know which comes first. Then you can open MyDVD and add them as two different movies, etc.

Patty,

Many thanks for your assistance.  I get it.  Should be easy.  The thread you pointed me to shows even better detail in how to do it.
