I am attempting to transfer audio tracks from vinyl LPs to CD. I have set up my receiver and turntable according to instructions provided in the "Record Setup" diagrams. When I press the "Record Tracks" button, however, the window closes. The other features of Easy Media Creator 7.5 that I have used seem to work properly. While I have submitted this problem to Roxio Support, I was hoping that other users have encountered and solved this problem. Thanks for any help!

Will remember to put the doc on my ignore list, so the next time I see a post from him/her, I can look back to see why they are on my ignore list.

I've got the same problem. This is the answer I got from Tech Support, but it just didn't work for me - so it's back to the drawing board, unless someone else can come up with the solution.
1.) Please disable your Startup Items:
a. Click on the Start button and select Run.
b. Type msconfig and click on the OK button or press the Enter key.
c. Select the Startup tab over on the right side.
d. Write down which items are checked, and then click on the Disable All button.
e. Click on the Apply button and then click on OK.
f. Click YES to restart the computer.
NOTE: To reverse these changes, follow the above steps and select enable all.
To optimize your computer you may want to check the items you really need to start when Windows starts like your Antivirus.
2.) Once the computer has restarted you can run a repair of your installation:
a. Click on Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
b. Scroll down and highlight Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 and click on Change.
c. Click Next to continue til you have three options: Modify, Repair, Remove
d. Select Repair and click Next.
e. When finished, restart your computer and launch the program.
