I've been using this program for two months and started having problem with video wave shutting down on it's own know there is no preview pane toolbar to make editing possible. I have tried to repair it and after I did that i got an error message quoting "This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information." but they can't give me any help. Has anybody else had this problem and been able to correct it??????

Most display problems can be fixed by updating your video card drivers and make sure you have the latest DirectX update (Aug2006).

Thanks for your reply. However, I have no idea what you are refering to with DirectX. Also, this is a brand new problem for me. The preview pane was displaying fine for the first two months I used the software. I performed the windows/add remove programs/roxio/change/repair option and restarted the computer and the same error message is showing up --- Program....es\common files\roxioshared\sharedcom8\roxwatchtray.exe. I purchased this program to create a DVD slideshow for my son's wedding and have managed to create some for family members after purchasing the DUMMIES book and many hours of a learning curve. But, I'm thinking about returning the software after visiting this website. Are there any others out there more user friendly? Would uninstalling and reinstalling the software do anything? Thanks for your help.

Get the latest DirectX from Microsoft here.

I don't think there is anything much easier than MyDVD. At one time, I've purchased 8 or 9 different video editors and DVD authoring apps. Videowave and MyDVD are the ones I use the most although I do keep 2 others on my machine.
