It seems there are two ways to update EMC8.
1) Click the link in Creator 8 Suite Home, but, the web page says only install if you purchased EMC8 on CD.
2) Click help and '...check for updates', but, it always returns with '...no updates available'.

Why?

Most often what happens is the software for the cd has to go to the manufacturer ahead of time so that all the pressings can be made before the actual release date. For the download version there is often extra time for late fixes to be added before release.

Do you wanna hear me beg you to take me back?
I'd gladly do it because....."

Because the download purchases already had the update in it. The update was only for the initial batch of program cd's that went out. So it is only to update those ones noted. there have been no other updates posted by them.

Well, there you go, there you have it.
That makes sense.
Thank you for your replies.

Go to Creator Classic, click on Help, then click on About.  If the build number starts with 805....., you have the latest update.

You left a lot to the imagination, because you did not say if you had the download version or the Retail version on CD.  Lack of communication will cause that.

I made the assumption that you do have the CD version.  Others who answered you, did not.  None of us know for sure, but you got the answer for whatever version you have.
Life is good!
