I'm posting for a friend.....
She has EMC 8 Suite and an ADS DVDXpress box. She captures through the USB port....her settings are for Mpeg-2. We can pull up the captured video and watch it, but when we try to add it to a Roxio production, the clip is blank......20 minutes of blue screen. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Susie
Edited to add...
WAIT, we have another problem....When we add the video...what we really get is a box that says "Zero panel length" or something...we get this when we add a slideshow, also....any ideas?
Per your description, that A/D device is probably not compatible with the Roxio Import Media function. Your friend must capture using the Capture Wizard that came with that device. Most manufacturer's use proprietary hardware and software that will work only with the device (and perhaps the program that is recommended Ulead.) This is not uncommon. Once you capture to mpg2, then you can bring it into VideoWave for editing. Do not capture to mpg1; the results will be bad. The software that comes with the device (other than the capture part of the program) is a free, extremely limited version of the Ulead program. They are at V10 now, that device came with V7LE.
