Another thread covered this subject but I want to pass on some info I received from 2 sources. There was a question regarding burning a recovery CD/DVD using Roxio Backup MyPc. Currently the media used for this process is 1.44 diskette.

Per Roxio support, in the Jan/Feb 2007, this issue will be resolved with their  new release.

Second I questioned why 2 out of 3 backups failed on the verify pass. Roxio provided some info, burn speed, media type, etc. I called Maxell, the brand I used and they stated even though a verify pass might fail, the burn almost without question was good. If a burn had problems, the process would stop during the burn. He said taking the media in question to another PC and verify, it may complete w/o error. Anyhow, I thought to pass on what new info I had.

Thanks for the info.
Glad to see they are finally going to get rid of the requirements for floppies. They didn't happen to say when they new release would be coming out, did they?

No but I assume it will be Jan/Feb 2007. I didn't ask the Roxio person.
