I have had no luck whatsoever with any version of Roxio after 6.0. Every time I try to install a new updated version it messes up my computer so bad I have to format & reinstall everything. It happened again with 8.0. I tried to uninstall it & the uninstall didn't take out all of the program. That causes problems so I had to reinstall it. I tried all the suggestions I read on this board & elsewhere, Roxizap & all & nothing helped. My computer just kept getting more & more unstable until I had to just wipe the drive & start all over. I will not try this version again. Why can't they write a decent version that doesn't cause all kinds of problems any more? I have been using Roxio for years, but after this I guess I'll stick with the old one that works. If I ever find another program that works well & doesn't cause all kinds of computer glitches you'd better believe I will be switching.
EMC 8 crashed my computer!

Why don't you list your computer specs, perhaps someone can spot something which may cause your computer to crash when you install EMC 8. There has to be something on your system that is causing the problem since it does not happen to most users.
