I am a long time user of Roxio (and old Adaptec) Creator products, starting with Easy CD Creator 4. I also own Creator 5.0 and EMC 8. Frankly, I like the look and feel of 5.0 better than EMC 8 but I understand the necessity of the update for many of my projects. However, there is no real (I mean really great or comparable) replacement for SoundStream & Spin Doctor - yes, some of us still have LPs and reel-to-reel music to convert...

Enough rambling! My question is how do I install both Easy Creator 5.0 and EMC 8.0 on the same machine and make everything work? I am currently running Creator 5.3.5.10 only. If I install EMC 8 concurrently, everything works in both packages except for burning CDs with the Creator 5 package. Any ideas on how to correct this?

Thanks in advance. Regards,

Lyle

Well, it all depends on which operating system you use.

Easy Cd Creator 5 will not work if you have service pack 2 installed for Windows XP. However, Easy Media Creator 8 requires it. So in other words, if you have windows XP, there is no way around it to getting both programs installed at the same time.

However, you can do it in windows 2000 with service pack 4. Both of them will work.

If you have windows XP, I guess you can try to install both programs, but there will be no gaurantee it will work, and if anything goes wrong, I won't be liable = ]

Thanks StanC. I'm running XP Media Center 2005, Roll-up 2 and only have Creator 5 installed at this time (it works great).
