Is there any way I can have text link to a movie?  I donn't want any style or anything.  I have my own background, and just want text linking to a movie.

Just select one of the themes that does not have a image attached -- there are several  You can then change the background to the image you want.  Which version of V8 do you have - suite or deluxe?
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

I have MyDVD premier 8.  I got text to link to the movies through a style, but when the link is selected, it turns a color (one that the style has made).  Can I edit that color?

I decided to burn it, and while encoding, it went black, and isn't showing anything.  Windows says it is still responding, but the program seems to be frozen.  Should I let it continue, or stop and restart?

You may have stopped it by now. It could be a problem with your video set up. Not much to help without your hardware specs. For screens going dark, you may have to do both - update your video drivers, download and install the latest update Microsoft DirectX 9c.  In VideoWave, go to tools>options and put the radio button to software.  Unfortunately this will get rid of all 3D transitions but you still have about 130 to play with.

Take a look at the minimum specifications for this product and make sure you meet or exceed them.
