Microsoft 32 bit Vista will not support HD movie playback

Question

In another blow to the consumer, not to mention both blue laser formats, Microsoft's Senior Program Manager, Steve Riley, let it slip during a Microsoft Vista presentation, that "next-generation high definition content will not play in x32 at all."

I read another article (but I am too lazy to link) that this person was mistaken and you will be able to play HD-DVDs in the 32 bit version. I think it was late yesterday that Microsoft back-tracked on this issue.

Thank you for clearing that up.

A better question then, will EMC9's HD Blue disc software work in a 32 bit version of XP?
