I'm just getting started in making slideshow DVDs. I notice however, that my pictures as they appear on the TV are not shown completely as they appear on the computer screen. Some an all four picture sides are off screen on the TV. What can I do to compensate for this?

The quick and simple explanation is to ensure your pics conform to a 4:3 aspect ratio. I'm assuming you're talking about "regular" TV here. Try to keep your pictures as close to 640X480 as you can, and you'll minimize the loss of edges. There's always going to be some sort of trade-off, you just have to decide what stays and goes.

Note that there will always be a slight loss, as part of the picture tube is hidden by the TV casing.

I don't know how picky you need or want to be with these pictures, but if you have any image editing programs such as Photoshop, you can start getting into manipulating the pixel aspect ratio and so forth.

If you have any more questions...don't hesitate. There are lots of great people here to guide you through it all.

good luck

Thanks for the replies. I downloaded Image Cropper. I have't burned a DVD yet, but I from what I see, I think using it on my pictures will sove the problem
