Can you use Roxizap to uninstall EMC 8?  It has stopped working and is telling me to uninstall and reinstall.  I used Add/Remove twice and got BSoD twice.  Had to recover with Norton Ghost.  Nothing else worked.   Thanks.

Yes you can but it will remove all Roxio programs. You'll still need to manually remove all Roxio folders and it would be best if you removed it from the registry with a program such as Regseeker (google it).

No.Roxizap does not replace the uninstall routine. It'll remove remnants of the uninstall. What you should do is do the Add/Remove then once that is done run Roxizap .If you got a BSoD doing the uninstall then I'd think there was a problem with the install in the first place. If you can't run the uninstall then I would do a search of your hard drive for Roxio and manually delete everything it finds. Also do a search for Sonic and do likewise.Once that's done use Roxizap. Then use a registry cleaner to clean the leftovers in your systems registry.Take care with this last part.Make sure you backup the registry first before cleaning, just in case.Once all this is done then try reinstalling

Another good choice James. It could be a matter of a Windows Installer leftover problem, which that would fix.

As the others suggested, after you perform the two, You should delete the Roxio Shared and Sonic Shared folders as well.

By default they should be located here.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sonic Shared
