So after reading several topics , it would appear that some of my EMC 8 features may be disabled because I installed the 8.05 update, BUT I bought the "download" version and should not have done this.

Is there a way to remove the update, without removing the entire product and reinstalling ?

(I won't even go into how completely moronic an update strategy, like this is. In these days of viruses and security vulnerabilities, I shouldn't have to know where I bought my software from to apply a product "update" :) )

You could uninstall the software, then install it again, without the update.
