Does it support it?  I know PCBackup by StompSoft does.

And a second question...

I have EMC8 retail.  It won't install BackupMyPC on my OS, which is XP x64.  Is there an update that makes it compatible?  And if so, how do I install it since the original CD won't install?

Thanks in advance...

You are out of luck with XP64. Backup MYPC does not support it. As far as the PCBackup by Stompsoft, it is a rebadged Novastor Novabackup.

I figured as much on x64.  No matter...I'm the only one running it.  However, I administer many systems for clients, all of whom run XP or Win2k.  The major issue is open file backup.  Does BackupMyPC support that?

I've purchased and installed about eight copies of your software over this last year for various installations.  The last one I did last week, I tried StompSoft, mainly because if it's open file backup capability. In the old days, only enterprise level backup apps did that.  I was surprised.

I like Roxio better.  But...does it support open file backup?  This is a bigger issue that you might think.  So many people leave Outlook running, and their PST file doesn't get backed up.

Unfortunately, I can't answer that one for sure. There is nothing in the help file that states it does.
