:) I recently upgraded to Easy Media Creator 8 from version 7. The DVD player in my Sony DreamStation no longer recognizes DVD's burned with the software. It give me a weird "disc is dirty" error. I'm using the same spindle of media so I doubt that's the issue. In addition, straight lines in jpegs contained in the slide show appear jagged on-screen. They never did previously. I'm using the same media, computer and TV's between the two versions. The only variable is the software. Are these issues just flaws in version 8? Is anyone else experiencing the same problems?

1) Might be, but I doubt it
2) I'm not...

If you want an answer, ask the question. .: (therefore) if you want the problem fixed, ask the question relating to the problem  Sorry, It bothers me when people ask a question that really isn't going to help them. The answer to "Is anyone else having this problem" is of no help to you...

Allright, my l'il rant aside, you could try seeing if the disc properties are set to interlaced, also check to see if it plays back properly on your computer. Finally, try burning an ISO and see if it plays back on your computer.

Let us know of the results :D

If the problems I described are being experienced by others, they are reproducible and could point to a software related issue. That's why I asked. It will help me focus my efforts. Thanks for your suggestion. I'll try it tonight and post my results.

It would help if you were to list your computer specs especially video card, similar to what I have in my signature. the jagged lines have been mentioned by a few posters but I doubt very much its a software problem.
