I've recently developed some sort of problem with my Buslink CD Burner (model RW5252FM) when I plug the burner into my macs firewire drive and try to do anything with my mac, I get the spinning rainbow wheel which just spins and spins. The second I unplug my CD burner from the firewire drive everything goes back to normal.
I am on a PowerMac G4 tower and I am running OS 10.3.9. Can anyone suggest anything I can do to get my burner functioning properly again?

The problem actually seems to come up when the CD burner power cord is plugged in not when the firewire drive is.

Download and apply the Apple's 10.3.9 Combined System Updater. That some time fixes odd Firewire and USB problems. No guarantee that it will fix your issue, but it will do no harm either.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
