Most sense key/code errors are caused by burners/media. Try lowering your burn speed, different brand of media and/or update your firmware for your drive.

did the lowering of the burn speed, and am not sure how to update firmware. I believe it is the memorex dvd that is causing the problems though.
Thank you

I have had nothing but problems with Memorex Media as my drives have gotten more sophisticated. I have a Pioneer DVR-110 that was a D and has been "reflashed" (firmware) to a Universal non-D that will burn and read any format and any media. Except Memorex. From what I am hearing is that they are not following the rules and are a pain to make the burners operate properly for. At one time they were the only game or they were the better of what was available and you had to use them. But as time has gone on they have failed to keep up the quality to meet the newer burners and user needs. Now you can buy industrial media at lower pricing.

I bet it's the media.

Memorex is shite. I've had nothing but problems--burn errors and coasters galore--with Memorex media on various Macs. Stick to Verbatim or Sony media.

I don't think any body has success burning to Memorex DL media. Verbatim DL DVD+R is the best supported media by manufacturers of DVD burners. Also, stick with the 2.4x media and not the 4x DL media for best reliability.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
