I found that before installation of easy media creator 8, i had no problems play .mpg files on the internet through Windows Media Player.  After installing the program i found that the first time i would load a movie from an html, the video frame freezes while the audio continues to play.  If i refresh the video and play it again, then it plays properly.  I have a feeling that one of the codecs installed with media creator is causing the problem seeing how before installation it was working just fine.  I tried unistalling (which caused the video files to play properly again) and then reinstalling.  Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I had the same problem and gave up on the product.  I finally stumbled across this fix which works:

Start > Run

regsvr32 /u mcspmpeg.ax


Apparently, Roxio unregisters the above file and just needs to be re-registered.

The command shown above actually unregisters the file mcspmpeg.ax, not registers it.
