I posted a query in the video forum, which has recieved no response about my EMC 8 no longer recognizing media files on my computer. I have pretty much concluded the problem is with media manager, as when I try to open it I get the following error message:

" The instuction at "0x6010828b" referenced memory at "0x01bcffd8" could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program."

Does anybody know what the problem is? Further, can I uninstall the media manager application without uninstalling the whole EMC 8 program? The only way I know to do it, since the individual applications do not appear in my "uninstall" application, is to "delete." Will that get me in any trouble. I believe I can "install" individual apps of emc8, so the reinstall should be OK. Any ideas?

Why not try a Repair?

Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs; Select Roxio and click Remove. The Repair option will show up after that.
