Although you have selected your printer, the image you posted shows that it is not ready. Unplug it and restart, try a different USB port, all the tings you would normally try when a USB device doesn't work. Is this a new printer and have you checked to make sure all the drivers are installed properly (I know sounds too elementary but when every I called my IT professional with a problem, their first response was reboot.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
