Hello,

In a new Sound Editor project, I add four audio clips in the order 1, 2, 3, 4
They show in the Project View in this order.

I then wish to burn them on to an audio CD in the order 4, 3, 2, 1
I can reposition them in the Mix Editor to this order. However, they still
show in the project View as 1, 2, 3, 4 and will burn in that order - regardless of
the order I have positioned them in the Mix Editor
(none of these clips are tagged by Gracenote or suchlike)

Hope somebody has a solution for me!

Patrick

Hmmmm.  I never tried to change the order, but did you think to add them in the order that you want them burned?  :)

Also, what part of the File/ did you use to output?  Did you output the mix?

Hi Bruce,
Yes, I would normally add in the order I wanted to burn. However, in this instance, I had 23 tracks already and wanted to add one more between 11 and 12. All I could do was add the additional one at the end.
There is a solution to export all 24 tracks to a new file and then add those to Sound Editor in the burn order. I did that, eventually - but what a pain!

I do not know what you mean by output the mix. When I go to burn I can select track - it is all one track - or clips - which is the individual clips. I go for Clips.

Ahhhh.  I haven't done any sound productions lately, but I always used The Mix Editor down in the lower right portion of the screen, and layered audio cuts, when I had many clips added, to work on.
