Recently (not sure when) I have had problems importing regions in SDII format files created by ProTools. Some of the regions in the files show up in the add track lists, but not all of them.
I do CDs of live concerts that end up having 40 regions in a two hour performance. After doing all the edits, I bounce the entire concert, import the bounce back into ProTools and divide it regions that will become the CD tracks for two CDs. I've been doing this for several years, but the last two I've done have had these problems.
I suspect that it's some interaction between Jam 6.0.3, Mac OS 10.4 and/or ProTools 7.1

I'm having the same issue. However, I can't get any Regions to show up.
I'm using OS 10.4.8 (Intel Mac)
Pro Tools HD 7.2.1
Any thoughts?

SDII region import requires holding down the Command key during the import. Otherwise all you'll get is the complete file.
Since one of the "regions" that shows up in the pick list is the entire track, region import should be the default and with the Command key used to import the entire file. Of course if there are no regions, the entire file would be what's imported.
The timing of the Command hold down is somewhat critical.
If you are dragging a sound file into Jam, you can't hold it down before the drag begins because that means something totally different to Finder (the drop won't happen). I press Command just before I release the mouse. Also be careful if Jam is the active application as a Command-drag from a finder window can select more than the file you begin the drag on.
If you use the Add Track dialog, hold Command down while clicking Choose.
With the first major release of Jam 5 and Jam 6, Roxio has forgotten how to import SDII regions (at least those created by Pro Tools). They've come up with a fix fairly rapidly. Make sure you've got the latest version of Jam (6.0.3 I think).
Other than the above, I've not had any problems importing SDII regions.

Are your regions named correctly by Jam? Mine aren't. Look here: http://forums.suppor...showtopic=17488
Jam 6.0.3 from May 2005, is, indeed, the most current version.
It's time for 6.0.4!

I think the names are basically correct. I do seem to remember Jam 6 names include .L or .R when I import SDII regions from split audio files and that didn't happen in Jam 5 or was it Jam 2.6?
Another interesting note: Pro Tools is currently recommending using .WAV files especially for interchange with Windows machines. The version of .WAV that's used also supports regions but I don't think Jam supports them.
