New To Toast...i Have Creator 10 And Toast

Question

if i use the creator 10 on a windows PC to copy the dvd onto an external drive can i burn a DVD with MAC toast from the external drive. my computer with the creator 10 is giving me errors and will not make DVDs any longer

I have creator 10 for PC and toast 11. I use creator 10 to copy and created a disc image. then i went to toast to burn the dvd and it wouldn't work? didn't even recognize it

I believe it should work if you select the Copy tab in Toast, then select Image File from the drop-down, then select your source .iso file, then click the big red button in the lower right. The image file does not have to be ‘mounted’; perhaps it is better left unmounted for burning.

 

You could verify the DVD compliancy of the content of the .iso, by ‘mounting’ the image file and launching Apple DVD Player. It should find the DVD and start playing. Apple DVD Player is picky enough that it will probably bark if something is wrong with the DVD (except it doesn't consider file system or layer break).
