Quick Sound Editor (part of Music Disc Creator) seems to work OK for me when I tried it this morning. I click on where I want to marker added so that the blue line shows up, I fine tune it and then right click and add the track marker. A small arrow head shows up above the music waveform. Sometimes it is hidden by the long blue line. See image. What do you get ? What were you expecting? Did you try it in the full Sound Editor?
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Thanks for your email. It seems to work with the full Sound editor.

I am having the same problem. I follow your advice up to the point where you say "right click and add the track marker". I hate to sound dumb, but where am I right clicking and how do I add the marker? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

You right click where you want the marker added (where the blue line is).Once you right click a box pops up,either click on Add/remove marker or just hit "M".This will add the marker.
