I'm aware of the REV Drive issue and actually working with Iomega to try and resolve this issue, which is a Roxio issue.
It would be helpful if you could tell me which model you have? (interface, internal vs external, etc)

External REV-USB P/N 31035401. The only place I can select a REV drive (or that it appears) is in the backup routine. However, it does not appear when you go to burn the backup thus you can't even use it there. It would be best if Creator 8 ignored the drive alltogether or treated it as a hard drive.

I have a case open with Iomega support to see if they know how to resolve this issue. They believe that one of the components (options) is the cause. I think it has to do with UDF which is installed by both Iomega REV drivers and Roxio EMC 8.0. What we need to do is to see which EMC 8.0 option installs UDF. If it is not a critical component then it can be removed.
Thanks,
Niles

Did you create any emulated drives with Disc Image Loader?

Has anyone solved this problem? I still have it with the latest REV driver with EMC 8 and do not have any emulated drives with Disc Image Loader. One work around is never to use Windows Explorer Eject but to use the Roxio Tools/Disk and Device Utility to eject the Rev drive. But I would have thought by now this issue would have been resolved. There is also a way to allow formatting (I think if you format right after inserting a disk, it might work or something similar).

It's been a while, has this problem ever been addressed? If not, I will be forced to remove Roxio from my system... the workaround I gave earlier is not sufficient.
