hello to all, i amtrying to install version 9 and having a few problems. I downloaded last night ok and after uninstalling version 8 i installed version 9, my cd key was ok. When i rebooted i got the blue screen of death, it was only on a second so no time to read. So i uninstalled version 9 with a lot of trouble and attempted to reinstall. install now says that my cd key is now invalid so i am stopped. Any ideas ?

Make sure the date and time are correct and that you have administrative rights.

A very simple way to see if you have administrative rights is to right click the Start button.  If you see "Explore All Users" then you have administrative rights.
Are you running the Internet Explorer 7 beta?  If so, until there is a fix, uninstall IE7.

The only other suggestion I have is to make sure EMC9 is completely removed from your system meaning all Roxio folders and subfolders, reboot and try to install again.  If it worked once, it should be able to work again.
Make sure you're not mistaking a zero from an 'O'. I know this sounds stupid but it happens to me all the time.

I understand re the zero thing in the key but i have registered the software and the key i used was ok. I am now running reg seeker and removing all traces of roxio and sonic from the registry. I think that i have removed all files but there maybe locations that i have not found.

Dave :)

If you already registered it you might try going to the site and copying the cd key from there and pasting it in when asked for.A long shot but who knows.
