Some of the stills used in Videowave really look nice when overlays and other effects are used to enhance the still jpg file for a Videowave production.is there a way to save an indiviual editted frame as a jpg file from the productionand then print it.Thanks Bob

Not from the raw production itself. You'll have to do a File\ Output production as..... and make a movie.

Then from the new movie which will be in the upper right hand corner where the files are stored, right click on the video and Extract the picture. That will give you a picture that you can print.

thanks again--you guys are so smart and helpful.I should have thought of that since i have extracted frames from movies before.BTW, doesnt Roxio save the editted frames somewhere--i konw i lost all my editted frames when my hard drive crashed last year, and i wasnt backing up those files and Roxio was saving them somewhere in a weird place, not in the My Documents or My Video folder.I cant recall the file ext.But i was wondering if those files could be saved as a jpg.bob

No edited frames are save by Videowave. When Videowave saves something (using the Save or Save As function ), it only save the editing instructions - no actual jpg or video is created. The extension of the save project file is dmsm and you can define the location where the file is saved. Video only gets created when you use "Output production to .."

You must have used Photosuite to edit the photos (which you can open from withing Videowave)

I think you're right. Some of the effects and overlays do create .png files. However, one of the problems with 7.5 is that if you uninstall and reinstall, the files disappear.

You can check to see if they are still on your computer by doing a Windows\ Search\ Advanced and search in subfolders and hidden folders for .png files. I'm pretty sure they are in a hidden folder.

I think that once you find them, you could open them in PhotoSuite and save them as a .jpg file.

i found where Roxio puts them.If you edit/crop an image in the storyline view,Roxio creates a png file abd puts it in Applicationdata/roxio/videowave and saves it as a png file.No i know where to back them up.bob

Thanks for reporting back with your results. That is a hidden folder on most computers and backing them up is an excellent idea. :)
