Hi!
I would like to know why when I try to play a video a message apperars " Needs Media Decoder".
Could somone help!

WMP does not have a native decoder for playing DVD's.You have to have a plugin for it.If you go to Microsofts site and go to the WMP section I believe you can find a link to purchase one.

I dont know what version of media player you use but as tbrewst says you need the mepg2 decoder codex , and you can get that by updating your media codexs like from here!
Windows Media Player 9 Codecs Pack
or if you never want to worry about any codex's again then get this file and install evey known one to man.
this will cover everything.
here is the link to download it ( it is 49.2 meg in size)

As a addon, you could also go to free codecs dot com and get what you want to use.
