Hello folks!

Yesterday I made the jump and D/L and installed EMC9!  :D  During my attempt to install it, I ran into a problem. When the install wizard got to the "computing disk space" part, a pop-up would come up with the following information:  Error 1325: Favorites is not a valid short file name.  I thought WTF.....

After closer examination, I saw that the favorite display option had been disabled on my desktop.  The simple solution was to go into Start/Properties, re-enable the display favorite, reboot, and voila!

Clean install all the way!  <Happy dance here!>  :)

I'm not sure this was posted before, but just in case I decided to relate my story.  HTH

Cheers!

Serge

Never seen this mentioned before.  My Favorites Menu is not enabled and I didn't get the error. But, if it happened to you it most likely will to others and your post will be helpful.
Thanks
