OS:  Windows XP Pro
DVD Writer:  Plextor PX-712A

I've searched through the Tivo posts and haven't found an answer yet.  First, MyDVD didn't automatically find my Tivo files.  So....I browsed to the folder and it then listed the .tivo files.  I selected it and tried to preview it with no success.  i.e. I get a window with a blank video.    If I attempt to select and burn the file anyway, it appears to be processing the file (hard drive light pegged) for a while.....but the project size is 0.  If I ignore this fact and attempt to burn the DVD, I eventually get the 80004005 error, for which I had already applied the hotfix.

In addition to the hotfixes, I've also tried converting the .tivo to an mpeg file.  Had the same results trying to burn from the mpeg file.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

29 visits and no suggestions?  Am I the only person who shelled out money for software that doesn't do the one thing that I bought it for?

if you encounter the same error with both TiVo and MPEG files, it is not a TiVo issue... and your video card information would help identify the issue....
